PRINCE2 Agile^®

PRINCE2 Agile^® blends two of the world’s most widely adopted project management methods across all sectors and applications. This program combines the structure and reliability of PRINCE2® with the ‘agility’ of a more flexible approach. PRINCE2 Agile® explores the interface between project management and agile product delivery. It provides a sound basis for adapting PRINCE2® methodology to an agile mindset, concepts and techniques.

PRINCE2 Agile has been developed for anyone who delivers projects, large or small, in an agile context. It is a valuable training and certification scheme for anyone working within an agile project environment, whether they be a project manager, project support or part of the wider project team. PRINCE2 Agile equips practitioners and organizations with the ability to deliver agile projects by tailoring the PRINCE2 project management method with a broad toolset of agile delivery techniques and frameworks. In this way practitioners, will leverage the benefits of agile ways of working such as iterative and incremental delivery while maintaining a structure of  project governance. There are two levels within the PRINCE2 Agile certification scheme – Foundation and Practitioner.

PRINCE2 Agile Foundation

Description: PRINCE2 Agile Foundation is designed to give you an overview of PRINCE2 and agile concepts as well as the techniques and knowledge needed to apply the two together. PRINCE2 Agile blends the flexibility and responsiveness of agile with the defined governance of PRINCE2.

PRINCE2 Agile is designed to help professionals tailor management controls when working in an agile environment, this certification will help you to understand PRINCE2 governance requirements, agile concepts and techniques and the interface between them.

Learning Outcomes:

• Understand key concepts relating to projects and PRINCE2
• Understand key concepts relating to projects and PRINCE2 Agile
• Understand how PRINCE2 principles, themes, processes and management products are tailored and/or applied in an agile context
• Understand the agile ways of working, key terms and techniques.
• Understand the focus areas in an agile context

The certification will help you to:

• Understand PRINCE2 governance requirements clearly and comprehensively
• Gain a broad range of knowledge of agile concepts and techniques including: Scrum, Kanban, Lean Start-up and Cynefin
• Explore the interface between PRINCE2 and agile ways of working. 

Who is PRINCE2 Agile for:

PRINCE2 Agile is suitable for anyone who delivers projects, large or small, in an agile context. It is a valuable training and certification scheme for anyone working within an agile project environment, whether they’re a project manager, project support or part of the wider project team.

PRINCE2 Agile Foundation has no prerequisites. Those without any pre-existing knowledge of PRINCE2 are eligible to sit the certification as this will be covered during the training.

PRINCE2 Agile Foundation Examination Details

• Closed book
• 50 questions
• 27 marks to pass or 55%
• 60 minutes in duration
• to be completed in pencil for paper based exam for classroom course; or
• online proctored using and provided by PeopleCert system

For online course, you will be sent an email with voucher details for you to schedule the exam. It is a world wide system and has a wide range of times available. This allows you to take the exam anytime, any place and at a time convenient to you.

PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner

Description: PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner is designed to help you apply the PRINCE2 Agile method in practice through real world project management examples.

PRINCE2 Agile is the world’s most complete agile project management method combining the benefits of agile ways of working with the governance and structure of the PRINCE2(R) project management method.

Course Objectives:

• Understand the basic concepts of common agile ways of working
• Understand the purpose and context for combining PRINCE2® and the agile way of working
• Be able to apply and evaluate the focus areas to a project in an agile context
• Apply the PRINCE2 principles and tailor the themes, processes and management products to a project in an agile context
• To learn through the use of theory and practical exercises
• To prepare delegates for the PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner exam

Who is PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner for:

PRINCE2 Agile® Practitioner is aimed at professionals working within a project environment, including key staff responsible for integrating project management with product delivery. PRINCE2® Agile Practitioner certification’s validity is 3 years, where the holder may either re-sit the exam or maintain validity through AXELOS membership.

PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner Examination

• Open book. You can use the PRINCE2 Agile manual only as guidance.
• 50 questions
• 30 marks to pass or 60%
• 2 and a half hours (150 minutes) in duration
• to be completed in pencil for paper based exam for classroom course; or
• online proctored using and provided by PeopleCert system
